Our Location

Map of Iowa State's campus and where The Stritz is located

Whether you choose to live at the Stritz, or one of our houses, you couldn’t be more conveniently situated to Iowa State. Our apartments are closer to campus than some of the dorms.

Live on the pretty, tree-lined streets near Campustown.  From any of our locations you can walk to class, the library, sporting and cultural events at Iowa State’s Coliseum, football games at Jack Trice Stadium, or restaurants and other gathering spots. Hop a CyRide bus just steps from your front door. You won’t need a car, but if you have one, onsite parking is available.

Iowa State’s campus includes 490 acres of trees, lawns, lake, streams, and sculptured fountains.  It’s listed among the top 25 most beautiful college campuses in the country.  The university, founded in 1858, features several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. At the core of it is the graceful campanile and 20 acres of rolling, open lawn known as central campus, the brainchild of ISU’s first president, Adonijah Welch.

Speaking of Adonijah, The Stritz is on Welch Avenue, named for the university president who looked to the future.
